It's been far too long since I put something up here so I guess it's time to update. Besides that I promised Scotty I would keep it up to date so we can stay in touch while he's teaching in Korea! The last months of 2003 in brief.

In September I got a job with YA Canada. I went through two days of training when I was offered a full-time job at a local Photo lab. I took the job with the photo lab.

At first I didn't think I would last there. It seemed the boss didn't think I could do anything right. I seemed to be making mistakes left, right and centre. I felt so stupid. I didn't think I'd pass my three month probation. I did but a few weeks back my boss blew up at me and I thought for half a second I should just quit.

Well obviously I can't until I find something else. Teaching for me seems to be something that's not meant to be. I've had many interviews and no one sees any value in my skills. The fact that I've been out of teaching for three years, regardless of the fact that I went back to school to aquire more knowledge means nothing to any board of education. The short story is that I will never ever get a teaching job now because I've been out of teaching for three years. What I did in that time is of no concern to them it's simply that I wasn't teaching that matters apparently.

This leaves me with no direction essentially.

I applied for the Ontario Internship Program in the hopes it might lead me somewhere. First I have to get accepted. If I do I'll be moving back to Toronto. I also applied for a teaching certificate in Newfoundland. The third possibility is that I may apply to the Board of Education for Nipigon, Marathon, Terrace Bay, Schrieber etc.

For now I'm just plodding along the same boring path.
